When farmers purchase seed from AlfaGen Seeds, they also gain access to Goldstrike®, a comprehensive seed treatment package designed to support strong establishment, early vigour, and overall crop health.

AlfaGen Seeds Goldstrike® is a high-quality seed coating with innovative technology which supports the crop during establishment and throughout the season, allowing for stronger and more vigorous plant growth. With Goldstrike®, farmers can be assured of a reliable establishment and higher yields of top-quality forage. Each seed is treated with a micronutrient package, a rhizobia inoculant, and, for Lucerne and Sub Clover, Apron® XL fungicide for disease control.

Goldstrike® is applied at AlfaGen’s processing plant in South Australia, and is used across a wide range of species, including:

• Lucerne: All proprietary products in our range

• Clovers: White, Rose, Red, Arrowleaf, Balansa, Berseem, Gland, and Bladder

• Others: Serradella, Biserulla, and a range of sub-tropical legumes and grasses

Micronutrient Support
The Goldstrike® treatment includes a mix of key nutrients to help seedlings stay healthy, tolerate stress, and reach their yield potential.

Effective Rhizobia Inoculation
Goldstrike® delivers high concentrations of live rhizobia bacteria, matched to each legume species. This boosts nodulation, enhances nitrogen fixation, and supports better long-term paddock performance.

Targeted Disease Control
Apron® XL fungicide is included in treatments for Lucerne and Sub Clover to help control Pythium irregulare, the cause of damping-off. Managing this disease during early growth is critical for strong establishment and healthy plant populations.
